The day begins...
Stepping outside, the morning air is filled with the scent of jasmine. Morning sun beams through the foliage of the palms.  The sky is blue, with no clouds in sight. A perfect spot to have a morning coffee and start the day.  Our day's adventure is at the Jazz + Heritage Festival Fairgrounds. Fabulous music everywhere, perfect weather and the most wonderful of friends to share it with.

A full day of travel from Buffalo - Ft Lauderdale to our destination in New Orleans...a beautiful home in the Garden District...I could never have anticipated that my picture of the day would be of a dusty, old Underwood typewriter...

A successful week reentering life in Toronto.  Brunch at a new spot, perfect table out of view of those waiting in line and a great breakfast too.  The past week was filled with a combination of work, catching up with friends and working on moving my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org.  There was also a healthy dose of maintaining the photo library.

Project 365 has spun off many veins of connection to other projects...blogs, hosting setups, coding and style sheets...the journey is intriguing, enriching and fun!

A walk through Chinatown and Kensington Market, the streets are busy and alive with fruits, vegetables, and people.  The urban lawns are vibrating with the incredible colours of the tulips, and daffodils.

Fascinated by Bucky's balls.  An endless source of contemplating magnetism as I pattern them into different shapes and designs.  Looking closely at the magnets, I am drawn to the reflection shown in each magnet, the pattern goes fractal.

One of the last trees to fully bloom in our neighborhood. Radiant in the morning sunshine, the trees are blocked from the afternoon sun by a church.

Memories of the rain forest flow as I photograph the tree. Remembrances of the spectacular diversity of life existing in a struggle for light...

From the tree to me...Light...Truth, Clarity, Freedom...

The streets are aglow with bright buds. The peonies our neighbour put into the garden spring up toward the bright warm sun. Skies are an incredible blue, people are outdoors and smiling...

This afternoon the taxi driver driving me home quotes a Rumi poem in Persian to me. The meaning as he describes it is about separation from the Divine. It is a moving moment.

I leave the taxi and realize that I do not have the correct house key. As a key is en route to me, I wait by taking photos in the front garden.

Photographing budding flowers and blooms against brilliant blue skies energizes and charges me...moments experiencing the connection to the Divine...

The day is filled with visits with friends and family.
Spontaneous meetings catching up on events of the past weeks.
Meals shared and walks taken through the neighborhood.
Stories and photos of our adventures shared over wine.

Warm weather and blue skies of the day ease into a warm evening heart giving energy to growth of the spirit.

An overnight flight and arrival mid morning, we arrive home to the neighboring tulip tree in bloom. Colder than South America, gray skies as the sun attempts to peak out through the clouds, I am happy to be home. Tired from travels, and comforted by being home I am eager to complete the photo set(s), memories and recordings while they are fresh in my mind...

A morning stroll through the square to a table outside for coffee and toast as we watch the parqueador and partner work. The blue sky above grays over as we sip on our coffees - in the green area of Miraflores, the dusty desert blows in...What a curious city Lima is...

A morning walk in Cusco around the squares, the skies are beautiful and blue. In the afternoon we travel to Lima for one last night. Lima is an interesting place. Staying in Miraflores, it seems that this is the only green neighbourhood in Lima...Checked into our last hotel stop, Picso sours at the bar and then off to another fabulous restaurant selected by the cosmic C. More drinks and food by the Pacific, it is a a wonderful evening. Tomorrow a tour of the city by bus, dinner by the ocean and next stop...Toronto.

From the splendor of Macchu Pichu and the beauty of the Inkaterra rain forest, we travel by train and bus back to Cusco. On a dusty road, followed by a dozen other buses, a large globetrotter is encountered...20 minutes negotiating how to pass one another feels like days...the driver is applauded when we finally pass the second giant Volvo vehicle...Arriving in Cusco, the tired travellers dine at Baco, a fabulous find by our cosmic C...I am honoured and blessed to be travelling and sharing this incredible South American Adventcha with such wonderful friends...

A day filled with small wonders. A walk through the forest, hummingbirds fly overhead as we visit orchids and butterflies.  A myriad of foliage and ferns, the shades of green are lush and alive. The forest has been incredible food for my soul.

From a heavenly place in Ollantaytambo...a bus ride to the train...and then another bus ride...we arrive at Macchu Pichu...The mountain views, and Incan architecture are spectactular! My trusty camera has no juice...batteries are both dead. My mate has a point and shoot...and it is on a stone by the edge of the temple of the sun that I sit and take in the wonder of the universe...connecting with all.

A full day, driving from Cusco through the Andes to the Sacred Valley. A stop in Chinchero to see how textiles are coloured naturally and the local weekly market. Continuing on to Pisac, a walk around the main square, followed by a beer overlooking the market. Driving onto Ollantaytambo, a living Incan community...what a place! Checked into our hotel...a wonderful deck to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sunset on the mountains.

A morning touring the ruins in the mountains surrounding Cusco. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. Visits to the ruins of "sexywoman", mummifying sites and Incan fountains are stunning. In the afternoon, we have a lovely lunch at the Museum of Pre-Colombian Art. A Sunny Saturday Sashay in Cusco.

After a night in a hotel by the Lima airport, we fly to Cusco.  Sitting by the window, I am incredibly moved by the beauty of the Andes. Bright deep greens in valleys, mixed with the clouds and fantastic snow capped peaks. Cusco is sunny, bright and beautiful. A full day of adjusting to altitude, and touring the cathedral, town and Incan temple of the sun ends with a cocktail in the bar and a restful evening to energize for tomorrow.

Wet from the rain forest with not a single dry item, we leave Sacha Lodge. It has been an incredible 4 days here. Back onto the canoe to go upstream for 2 hours to Coca. The water level on the Napo river has risen about 8 feet and it is amazing to notice the difference along the ride. Back to Quito for a few hours, a wonderful lunch with a beautiful scenic backdrop of the mountains and then off to Lima for a night...

Each morning a knock on the door starts our day very early. This morning the knock was at 5 am. After breakfast, we go out in a canoe across the black lake and into the forest. Whether walking on the trails or gliding in a canoe, the rain forest never cease to amaze.
Tonight is our last night and tomorrow we head to Lima via Quito...Onto the next part of our adventure...
