Exploring shutter speed for the current lesson in the morning...challenged and slightly frustrated with the results...
Taking a break to bicycle to the beach, it is a perfect day for a ride.
Returning home, a new approach from the instructor in my inbox and a refreshed perspective to try again...

Working through another photography lesson with pencil crayons from the rain forest...even using a tripod!
I was quite surprised to hear that the instructor hand holds his camera less than 5% of the time. 90% of the time, he is using a tripod and the other 5% is using an alternate camera support.

Thinking about rules...
this is the first day that I did not take a photo for my 365. My project, my rules? Kinda like parking a bike by a no parking sign...

Walking back from lunch, we run into protesters walking up Spadina.
A peaceful moment before the crowds intensify, the backup riot police are brought in and injuries occur that EMS cannot get to...
Hoping the summit makes the world a better place...

It really is a very friendly town...
Wondering about why all the video clips around the G20 are all about the protests, vandalism and violence...
Hoping that there is good for all that comes out of this summit.

A rainy day spent stocking up before downtown is shut down by the G20. All done...the sun breaks through the stormy skies to make way for a beautiful evening.

This week's assignment is on white balance...such a difference from slight adjustments!
After having this camera for 4 years, it is amazing how much I don't know about it...

I liked the juxtaposition of the traffic lights and the monument...and then a cyclist came along...

One week into a photo course, I am learning the ins and outs of my camera.
Taking photos to complete assignments was more challenging than I thought it would be.
Assignment completed and a day of creating stars in photoshop.... A photo filled day.

An athletic morning with a bike ride to Queen's Park to see the International Drumming Festival. We watch a set or two, have a bite and a leisurely ride home. In the afternoon, friends spontaneously gather to share a glass or two in the sunshine. Summer weekends are wonderful!

My perch in the kitchen...
With the network behaving properly now, the music plays while I read, listen to birds and observe the activity on the street.
