Garage doors that I see every day.
On summer evenings, we will often sit across from these doors with a cocktail and watch the street go by. Taking a few steps closer brings a whole new perspective...Imagine that!

A hot and sunny holiday Monday.
We take a bicycle ride passing Cherry Beach ending at Ashbridges Bay.
Above the water and the rocks, a lone tulip glows in the sunlight.

A great long weekend. Happy Victoria Day!

Looking at the geranium buds and blooms today, I hear a voice from the past telling me, "I hate geraniums."
I wonder....if that voice saw the geranium as I see it today...
I hope they would see the life, light and colour I do.

Thinking about water drops...

"Pass again from the heavenly realm
and plunge into the ocean of Consciousness.
Let the drop of water that is you
become a hundred mighty seas.

But do not think that the drop alone
becomes the Ocean—
the Ocean, too, becomes the drop!"
Rumi

Perhaps it is not so obvious as a single door...the bonds of connections everywhere... in every part of life....
Does such as thing as the "right door" exist?

Perfect squares appear as doors with sunlight streaming through.
Choices are many - all appear bright and safe.
Is only one door the "right" one?

The flowers were given to us by our neighbour. Cut off from the tree on the side of the house, the flowers are a wonderful delight to arrange in the house.
Knowing that we received them from our neighbour and that they have been shared with others, connects me to my neighborhood, by accident and not by plan. I am reminded of thoughts from the shack - good and evil, light and darkness....evil and darkness are defined as the absence of good and light..all existing with the other by definition....

After the night rain, the earth is moist, dark, rich and alive. Weeding the garden brings me to the small world of snails. A moment watching as a snail pokes its head out and starts to move out of the light. Amazing what an experience can be had when considering a completely different perspective.

Beautiful morning shadows in the blinds...
"Hey, why doesn't someone say
this dull black and white should fall away
Please, tell me it's not just me
Can't wait until we're all bright grey...
